Board Structure

In July 2021, Sefton Safeguarding Adults Partnership Board (also referred to as SSAPB) was formed and replaced a Multi–Local Authority Merseyside Safeguarding Adults Board (MSAB).

Board Vision and Strategic Plan 

To ensure Sefton Safeguarding Adults Partnership Board member agencies work together strategically to meet their shared safeguarding responsibilities, a strategic plan is produced and identifies a number of key themes and key areas of focus. 

The Partner Board Subgroups undertake actions within the Strategic Plan to ensure that we continuously achieve our vision for the people of Sefton.

Independent Chair

Michelle Image 2023 Michelle Creed was appointed as the Independent Chair in October 2022. Michelle joins our Partnership with a wealth of experience from both NHS and Local Authority roles and a passion for safeguarding. 


Annual Report 

This summarises how the Board and its partner agencies have worked together to safeguard and promote the welfare of the adults in its area, and to evaluate the effectiveness and quality of multi-agency safeguarding practice.
